Winter Nourishment Herbal Box
Nourish yourself from the inside out with herbal remedies as we step into darker and colder days. The box includes 6 remedies + seed packet + a complete booklet.
Every remedy has been prepared by hand from seed to harvest, to finding the most local and beautiful menstrums: honey, alcohol, sunflower oil, and apple cider vinegar. All ingredients aside from the glycerine are local to the Hudson Valley. Our prayer is that the folks who receive this offering feel nourished, inspired, and curious to know their bodies and the land more intimately.
The box includes:
No followers - 1 oz
An elixir specifically designed for going inwards.
Beyond-Organic & Local Ingredients: Rose (Rosa rugosa), Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum), Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata) honey, alcohol
This is about the deep inner work, that you can only do alone. Silence the mental chatter and external stimulus by grounding into your heart cave. Take a dropperful or a few drops when you are stuck in circular thought patterns, experiencing tension headaches and tight muscles due to stress, particularly, jaw, neck and back.
Nourish & Soothe Herbal Tea
A nutritive herbal tea to support nourishing your blood, internal waters and soothe your nerves and gut
Beyond-Organic & Local Ingredients: Nettles (Urtica dioica), Oats (Avena sativa), Calendula (Calendula officinalis), and Mint (mentha spicata)
As this is a nutritive herbal blend we recommend making an overnight infusion in order to get the most minerals and nutrients. Boil hot water and pour over 1 cup of herbs in a half gallon mason jar. Strain and drink this infusion throughout the day.
Verdant Herb Salt - 4oz
A delicious way to bring herbs and necessary minerals into your life
Beyond-Organic: Nettles, Thyme, Alfalfa, Guérande, Sea Salt
This immune strengthening, antibacterial and digestive salt is the perfect condiment to any dish. Salt on its own is an incredible medicine, without which we would not be alive. It is fascinating that salt has been found all over the world and all humans have found a way to source salt. All animals find a way to find salt, whether that is stones that contain salt, soil, soil or water. Civilizations have been created from salt and wars have been fought over this mineral. If we are lacking in salt you are likely to experience headaches, low blood pressure, fatigue and loss of energy. Of course too much salt is also not good for our health, everything in balance! Add this salt into your water, with lemon, and a spoonful of honey for a natural electrolyte drink.
Full Moon Strawberry Jam - 8 oz
Beyond-Organic & Local Ingredients: Organic Strawberries, Sugar, & Lemon
Made with love by our Matriarch, Estela. Spread on thick sourdough toast and taste the lushness of ripening fields in the sun. We harvest organic strawberries at one of our favorite farms Whistle Down Farm. Harvesting strawberries is such a fun experience, especially when you are harvesting with people you love. Everyone is down on their hands and knees looking for the perfect sweet jewels, strawberry juice trickling down your face, hands stained red, and bellies full of sugar. Making jam is part of my family tradition and a key way that we preserve fruit for the winter. I am honored to have the support of my mom in preparing this delicious, low sugar jam for you.
Pain Relief Salve - 2oz
Get unstuck, and loosen sore muscles
Beyond-Organic & Local Ingredients: Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), (Calendula officinalis), Marigold (Tagetes erecta), Elderflower (Sambucus nigra), Saint John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale) Olive Oil & Beeswax
A powerful blend of anti-inflammatory and pain relieving herbs. Supportive for arthritis, sciatica, sore and strained muscles and joints, nerve pain, toning and tightening tissues, and healing dry and chapped skin. A multi purpose herbal balm for sore muscles, sprains, and dry skin. A nutritive, moistening, and healing balm for itchy, dry skin, eczema, and scars. This balm is packed with skin-healing herbs that have tissue repairing and regenerating properties.
Sage Seeds (Salvia officinalis)
A perennial herb in the mint family, it has beautiful purple flowers and pollinators love it. You can plant seeds in the fall or in the spring after the frost. Spread the seeds over the soil and cover lightly, they need light to germinate. Sage likes full sun and well drained soil. Once you have a well established sage plant they will also self seed if you let the flowers go to seed. We love to add sage to tea blends for supporting opening of the lungs and nervous headaches, moving blood and regulating menstrual cycles. You can drink sage tea after a meal to support digestion, or as a gargle for sore throats and fortifying gums.
